Refund policy

Version 2026-11-04 · In effect since 4 November 2026

This policy explains when you get money back for schickit Pro (“Pro”) and how to ask for it. It applies in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them. What Pro includes and how billing, renewal and cancellation work is set out in the Pro terms.

1. Who we are and who sells you Pro

1.1 Provider

schickit and Pro are provided by Temprana UG (haftungsbeschränkt), An der Stadtmauer 7, 89522 Heidenheim an der Brenz, Germany (“we”, “us”). Full provider details are in the legal notice.

1.2 Purchases on the web

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles billing, issues the invoices and handles refunds.

When you buy on the web, Paddle is your contractual partner for the purchase and the payment; for buyers in the European Union this is Paddle.com Market Limited, London, United Kingdom. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to the purchase.

1.3 Purchases in the app

If you buy Pro in the schickit app, you buy through Apple's App Store on the iPhone and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google handle the billing, and refunds are governed by their rules (section 6).

2. 14 days money back for purchases on the web

  1. Within 14 days of any payment for Pro on the web, you can ask for that payment to be refunded. You do not have to give a reason.
  2. This applies to the first payment after the trial, to a purchase without a trial and to every renewal, on the monthly plan and on the yearly plan.
  3. The full amount of that payment is refunded, including taxes.
  4. It is enough that you send your request within the 14 days.
  5. With the refund, Pro ends for your account and the subscription is ended. Nothing is deleted; what then applies to your tracks, links and demo packs is set out in section 7 of the Pro terms.
  6. Nothing is charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing and there is nothing to refund.

If someone evidently exploits this policy, for example by buying Pro repeatedly and having the payment refunded each time, we may refuse a further refund under this section. Your statutory right of withdrawal and your rights in the event of defects remain unaffected.

3. How to get your money back

You can ask for a refund in any of these ways:

  • in the Studio, in your account under “Subscription”: in the first 14 days after your first payment it shows “Withdraw from Pro purchase…”. If you confirm, Pro ends at once and we arrange the refund of every payment from those 14 days in full with Paddle; for your first withdrawal without further review, for a further one section 5 applies. Your account and your tracks stay. You get a confirmation by email,
  • by email to hello@schickit.com, for any refund under this policy, including one for a renewal. Please give the email address of your schickit account; we will then arrange the refund with Paddle,
  • on paddle.net or through the link in the purchase confirmation Paddle sent you by email: there you find your order with the email address you used for the purchase.

A refund you are entitled to under this policy is arranged without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after we receive your request. Paddle pays the money back to the payment method you used. How long it takes until the amount reaches you depends on your bank or payment provider.

4. After the 14 days

After the 14 days, a payment is generally no longer refunded. If you cancel, nothing more is charged and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

In these cases we refund after the 14 days as well:

  • If you are a consumer and cancel the yearly plan after its first year with the notice period in section 6.2 of the Pro terms, we refund the part of the yearly payment that covers the time after the end, pro rata.
  • If we end Pro or schickit before the end of a paid period, we refund the part of the payment that covers the time after the end, pro rata.
  • If you end Pro because we changed it in a way that means you can no longer use it as before (section 9.1 of the Pro terms), we refund the part of the payment that covers the time after the end, pro rata.
  • If an amount was charged twice, too high or after you cancelled in time, we refund the excess in full. If you buy Pro on the web a second time while your first web subscription is running, we end the later purchase at once and refund it in full, without you having to do anything; we send you an email about it. If you bought Pro on the web although your account already had Pro from the app, we refund the web purchase at your request.

The pro rata refunds in this section also apply to purchases in the app. Because Apple or Google handle the billing there, we pay the amount back to you ourselves in that case, for example by bank transfer.

If Pro does not work as described, you also have your statutory rights in the event of defects.

5. Right of withdrawal

In addition to this policy, as a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal against Paddle when you buy on the web. How long it lasts, when it expires and how you exercise it are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy. You can also declare the withdrawal to us, in the Studio in your account under “Subscription” with “Withdraw from Pro purchase…” (section 3) or by email to hello@schickit.com; we then arrange the refund with Paddle. If you withdraw with us again after you have already withdrawn once, we review the withdrawal and refund within 14 days of receiving it; you keep Pro until then.

For purchases in the app, your right of withdrawal is governed by the terms of Apple or Google.

This policy adds to the right of withdrawal and does not limit it. An amount refunded to you in one of the two ways is not refunded a second time.

6. Purchases in the app

If you bought Pro in the app, Apple or Google received your payment. Refunds are governed by their rules. The exception are the pro rata refunds in section 4: we pay those back to you ourselves.

Purchase in the App Store: only Apple can refund the payment; we cannot decide on it. How to ask Apple for a refund:

  1. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Choose “I'd like to” and then “Request a refund”.
  3. Give the reason, select the schickit subscription and submit the request.

Purchase on Google Play: within 48 hours of the purchase you ask Google for the refund, on play.google.com under your orders. After that, write to hello@schickit.com; we review your request and can refund the payment through Google Play.

Whether and how much Apple or Google refund is decided by them under their terms. If a payment is refunded, Pro ends for the refunded period.

You also cancel a subscription from the app with Apple or Google (section 6.4 of the Pro terms). Deleting the app or your schickit account does not cancel such a subscription.

7. Invoices and help with your order

  • For purchases on the web, Paddle sends you a confirmation with an invoice by email. You reach your invoices and your payment method in the Studio, in your account under “Subscription”; they open Paddle's customer portal. Orders are also available at paddle.net, where Paddle's support also helps with questions about your order.
  • For purchases in the app, your receipts are in your Apple Account or your Google Account.
  • We answer questions about Pro and this policy at hello@schickit.com, in German or English.

8. Versions and language

A new version of this policy applies only to payments made after it takes effect. If a later version is more favourable to you, it also applies to earlier payments that are still within the period in section 2. Earlier versions remain available at schickit.com/legal/refunds/history.

This policy is available in German and English. The version binding for you is the one in the language in which you read it when you bought; the other is provided for information. If the two versions differ, the one more favourable to you applies.
